Donations
The Cheltenham Playhouse has existed since 1945, with parts of the building dating back to 1806. Much like us all, age can take its toll. Since 1945 the charity has worked hard to preserve aspects of the historic buildings, whilst providing an arts venue for community groups, artists and audiences. This building is not only of historical interest to our visitors but, we believe, has many stories for future generations. You can find out more about the history of our building on our heritage website.
The Playhouse is a registered charity and one of very few truly independent local venues. The charity is solely responsible for all upkeep and restoration of the Grade II listed building. This work isn’t cheap. If you are in the fortunate position that you are able to contribute further to the Playhouse, additional donations – with the option of Gift Aid – can be made at the time of booking.
If you wish to learn more about making a significant donation, sponsorship, legacy or other major contribution to the theatre, please contact us at [email protected], where a member of our team will be happy to discuss this with you.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of the venue and its visitors. Without your backing, the Playhouse would be very different. So, thank you – and we hope to see you soon.
