What happens to families when booze is to blame?
Debris is a new play by Cheltenham writer Alex Viveash looking at what it's like to be the grown-up child of an alcoholic, and the things we go through for love. Mack sees the world through a half-empty pint glass, forever living in the past while trying to navigate a modern world where the "giro" just doesn't cut it. When his daughter Emma visits unexpectedly, their already fractious relationship is put to the test. This intimate two-hander invites the audience into the “bijou, yet tastefully decorated in the tenant’s own unique style” catastrophe that is Mack’s flat to witness the role reversal that takes place when the bottle is to blame.
Described as a "dark, quietly witty" play about love, lies and drinking.
