A Few Good Men
The Broadway hit that helped transition Aaron Sorkin's career from stage to screen.
Two U.S. Marines stand charged with the murder of fellow Marine, Private Santiago, at the Guantanamo Bay US Naval Base in Cuba.
Lt. Daniel Kaffee has been assigned as the men's defence counsel. What initially seems like an open-and-shut case, rapidly complexifies when the accused refuse to accept Kaffee's plea bargain, and further investigation reveals that they may have been acting under the orders of a superior officer.
After a contemptuous first meeting with base commander, Colonel Nathan Jessep, the defense begins to suspect that the highly decorated officer may have had some involvement in Santiago's death. Proving it, however, when the material witnesses are all rigorously trained to be loyal to the death to their commanding officer, will be no easy feat.
What ensues is a tense battle of wills, ego and ideals to bring the truth to light.
