What endures when the world you know has been consumed by nuclear fire? What will be remembered seven days, seven years, and seven decades after the end? This is the question at the heart of Anne Washburn's daring Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play, staging for one night only on Halloween in the Green Room Bar of the Cheltenham Playhouse, as part of the Season of Fundraising. An all-local cast and production team led by Rhiannon Olivaw and Louis Maxted explores the post-apocalypse in this stripped-down and re-orchestrated staging. Blackly comedic and surprisingly touching, Mr. Burns dares to threaten you with a good time.
